Watkinsville, Ga. (June 24, 2024) – The Piedmont Athens Regional Oconee Health Campus is hosting a beach-themed bingo party on Friday, July 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to support the Northeast Georgia Heart Walk sponsored by the American Heart Association.

Beach Bingo Night is open to the community. To play, bingo cards may be purchased for $1 each. Additionally, Fox’s Pizza is offering a family pizza bundle for $25, which includes a large one-topping pizza, one two-liter bottled beverage, and four bingo cards.

The Heart Walk is an annual event held in the Northeast Georgia area to raise awareness about heart disease and how to prevent heart attack and stroke. The proceeds from the walk go to education in Athens and surrounding communities.

The 2024 Northeast Georgia Heart Walk is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17, and offers many ways to get involved, such as volunteering at the walk, gathering a team to walk together, or simply donating to the event. The fundraising goal for this year’s walk is $100,000, and proceeds from the beach bingo party will help reach that goal.
