Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. While we understand that emergencies and other unexpected situations do arise, Piedmont requests you provide your physician’s office with 24-hours notice in the event that you are unable to make an appointment and need to reschedule.
A missed appointment without notifying your physician’s office (no show) or cancellation on the same day of your appointment will result in:
- A $25 late-cancellation fee for appointments with a Piedmont primary care physician (i.e., a general practitioner).
A $50 late-cancellation fee for appointments with a Piedmont physician providing specialized care, such as Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Cardiology.
This late cancellation fee will be charged to the patient, not their insurance company.
Missed appointments due to unforeseen emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or illness, may be considered an exception to the policy and will be at the discretion of the practice manager on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the physician practice directly to discuss exceptions.
This cancellation policy ensures Piedmont can remain consistent with its purpose and promise to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to each of our patients and allows us the opportunity to provide care to another patient.

Late Policy
Please arrive 15 minutes before your selected registration time, as arriving late may delay your priority status. If you arrive 10 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we will make every effort to accommodate you, but may need to reschedule.
