Conyers, Ga. (May 9, 2024) – Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is introducing a new, $1.8 million renovation project of its infusion center, which is designed to provide patients with a warm, calm experience. Infusions are a critical part of the treatment plan for a wide range of health issues, including, among others, chemotherapies.
“Patients who require the services of our infusion center are often fighting deadly and debilitating diseases and conditions,” said Piedmont Rockdale CEO Monica Hum, M.D. “As a result, we have created a modern, calming space so that they can receive high-quality care close to home.”
Piedmont Rockdale’s new Infusion Center is a dedicated space of 18 bays where patients can receive their treatments in comfort and privacy. It was designed with patients in mind, from the earthy natural tone finishes and strong natural light. The unique open yet private space will allow the staff to be able to closely, safely and effectively care for the patients.
The center also contains premium lighting, focal ceiling, tube station, an on-site pharmacy room, isolation suite with private bathroom, fast track space for the shorter visits, and a private room for procedures. Both patients and visitors alike will also have the option for respite in a courtyard. This center will be the preferred choice within our community and beyond to experience high-quality patient centered care.
The center sits in Building A on the Ground Floor of the hospital and is open Monday through Friday.
