Monroe, Ga. (February 17, 2025) – Piedmont Walton is pleased to announce the appointment of Cari Bailey as the new Director of Community Relations, effective March 3, 2025. "I am excited to welcome Cari Bailey to our team," said Blake Watts, CEO at Piedmont Walton. "Her extensive experience and deep connections within the community will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our community relations efforts."
Bailey brings over 30 years of extensive experience in marketing, communications, sales, and business development to Piedmont Walton. Since July 2014, she has served as the Director of Admissions and Advancement at George Walton Academy. In this role, she led the Advancement Office team and managed activities related to enrollment, development, marketing, communication, and fundraising.
Prior to her tenure at George Walton Academy, Bailey worked at Synovus Bank in Monroe as the Marketing Director and Assistant Branch Manager. She managed internal and external communications, implemented business development strategies, and hosted various employee and customer appreciation events. From 1999 to 2006, Bailey was with the City of Monroe, where she handled marketing and communications, including internal and external communications, advertising, and planning community-wide and employee events.
Bailey is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and has actively served on various boards and committees, including Habitat for Humanity, Walton County Boys & Girls Club, and Monroe Junior Service. She is a well-respected member of the Walton County community and will be a tremendous asset to Piedmont Walton.
Bailey will be succeeding Heather Allison, who will be transitioning to a new role with the Walton County Chamber of Commerce. Piedmont Walton would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to Allison for her outstanding contributions. Allison has been a vital member of our leadership team, playing a key role in many of the hospital’s service initiatives and community partnerships. Allison's last day with Piedmont Walton will be Feb. 28.
