Columbus, Ga. (April 2, 2025) – Safe Kids Columbus, led by Piedmont Columbus Regional, and the Firearm Safety Committee will host a free one-hour lunch and learn on Thursday, April 24, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus Conference Center. The event includes firearm safe storage practice education and a free vehicle gun lock box (one personal firearm lock box issued per family/address).
Participants are required to attend the short educational session in order to receive a boxed lunch and personal gun lock box. Participants will be required to sign a General Waiver of Liability in order to receive a free personal gun lock box. After the session, participants will install the lock box in their vehicle with the assistance of public safety volunteers as needed.
Each participant must register online by April 18 to receive a boxed lunch and personal gun lock box.
