Athens, Ga. (April 2, 2025) – Piedmont Athens Regional will add 22 internal medicine and 8 Transitional Year residents to its medical staff this summer.
The new Internal Medicine residents who will join Piedmont Athens on July 1 are:

"Our highly-regarded Graduate Medical Education program lays a strong foundation for a successful career as a practicing physician."
The residency program at Piedmont Athens Regional offers one to three-year tracks, and many physicians choose to remain in Georgia to practice medicine after completing their training.
With the new residents joining this summer, Piedmont Athens Regional will employ 74 residents. Piedmont Athens Regional launched its Graduate Medical Education program in 2016, starting with 15 Internal Medicine residents and 10 Transitional Year residents. The residents work under the direct supervision of attending physicians, practicing medicine at the 427-bed hospital and the outpatient Community Care Clinics.
