A Lifetime and a Legacy at Piedmont
The Curtiss Family has entrusted Piedmont to care for them as their family hospital for many years. When Frances Ammen Curtiss retired from a long career as a physical therapist and serving as a leader in the Emory University Division of Physical Therapy, she knew Piedmont would be one of the organizations to which she would devote her time, talents, and treasures.
As a longtime volunteer at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and a generous donor for over three decades, she regularly made philanthropic gifts to support the Woman’s Auxiliary and other vital programs and services throughout the Piedmont Healthcare system.
Upon her passing in April 2022, Piedmont was one of three organizations to receive charitable gifts from Frances’ estate. With the guidance of her daughter, the 5-figure bequest was divided between two funds - Women’s Heart Fund and Doris B. Shaheen Emergency Room Relief Fund.
On behalf of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation and the Piedmont leadership team, we want to thank Mrs. Frances Curtiss for her years of unwavering support and for making a legacy gift that will help us continue to carry out our Purpose and Promise to make a positive difference in every life we touch.
If Piedmont is already in your will, trust, or other estate plans, THANK YOU! If you would like to learn more about how to include Piedmont in your will, please contact the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation.
