Current Responsibilities
Candace Ellis is the Grateful Patient Program Officer at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. In her role, she manages the day-to-day operations of the Waters Pavilion. She serves as a representative for the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation in the hospital setting. The Waters Pavilion at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital provides a unique experience with premium amenities during an inpatient stay.
Prior Experience
Candace has over 10 years of experience working in the healthcare sector in a leadership role. She started in a private cardiac practice in Athens, Georgia. She later extended her reach to working with dialysis patients and transplant patients for DaVita, Inc., as a patient advocate and pathways liaison. Through advocacy, she gained valuable experience networking and navigating the unique environment of healthcare providers to ensure patients received high quality, timely and affordable care. She is passionate about sustaining the comfort and safety of all patients and families who stay in the Waters Pavilion. She excels at cultivating good patient relations and donor stewardship by ensuring the interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals work together to provide a positive patient experience in the Waters Pavilion.
Education, Awards and Community
Candace received her Master's degree in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2014 and her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from DeVry University in 2010. She is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.
