Helpful People at Piedmont Fayette
Patient Representatives
Our patient relations representatives assist patients and their family members throughout their hospital stay. They answer questions regarding hospital routines, patient advocacy issues and non-clinical patient and family concerns, and provide courtesy services to complement the clinical staff, allowing them to stay focused on the patient's medical care. Other ways patient reps can help include:
- Assisting families with local lodging and dining arrangements
- Providing directions
- Handling complaints and concerns from patients and family members, and relaying them to the appropriate personnel for quick resolution
- Providing consultation on Advanced Directives (living will, power of attorney and directive for final healthcare)
- Processing suggestions on improvements in hospital processes to make hospital visits more patient- and family-friendly
- Assisting with foreign language and sign language interpretation
Patient representatives can be reached weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 770-719-7457.
