Care Partner Policy (Updated December 4, 2024)
Normal visiting hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the exception of the Women’s Center (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and ICU (10 a.m. to 4 pm and 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.).
- All visitors must comply with hand hygiene and/or isolation techniques based on the patient’s need.
- Visitors must be free from signs of obvious illness.
- Visitation will be limited to two visitors per patient at one time except in the case of an end of life patient.
- Visitation for the end of life patient constitutes an exceptional circumstance; visitation by parents, family and/or friends will be as unlimited and flexible as possible.
- Patients may designate and/or limit which visitor may visit them.
- All patients in private rooms may have one family member or significant other stay during the night with them in their hospital room. A chair or foldout cot will be provided if available.
- Children under the age of 12 must not be left unattended anywhere in the hospital or on hospital grounds.

No Patient Left Alone Act
During the 2024 legislative session, the Georgia General Assembly passed the No Patient Left Alone Act, which was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on May 6, 2024, and made effective on July 1, 2024. This legislation establishes visitation rights for individuals admitted to hospitals and long-term care facilities.
