Unparalleled Experience
At Piedmont Eastside, we go out of our way to give you the experience you deserve. We celebrate alongside you, giving every new mom a birthday cake from a local nonprofit bake shop. Many concierge services are available to cater to moms' needs before, during and after delivery. Complimentary room service and accommodation for your partner, spouse or loved one help create a comfortable, relaxed environment in a hotel-like setting for you to enjoy while you celebrate life's most precious gift. In the event of an unexpected complication, we are fully prepared to react immediately with operating rooms that are maintained 24/7 for the benefit and safety of Mother and Baby.
Family-Centered Approach
The staff at Piedmont Eastside recognizes the importance of support from friends and family at this special time and will work together with them to enhance their experience during this very special celebration. Following delivery and recovery, Mother and Baby are relocated to our Mother-Baby unit where couplet care is provided, giving the new family time to bond, introduce the newborn to family members and friends, and give Mother and newborn the freedom and privacy to practice breastfeeding.
Experienced, Compassionate Nurses
Our nurses have many years of practical as well as in-service education that maintains and updates their knowledge in the field of lactation. In the event of complications or challenges with breastfeeding your newborn, Piedmont Eastside provides two lactation specialists who are available to assist new mothers as needed. Before discharge, we offer and encourage our new mothers and family members to attend a discharge session where their questions can be answered by a nurse specializing in caring for a newborn. Forty-eight hours following discharge, the family will receive a follow-up phone call to see if there are any follow-up questions and ensure that the transition from hospital to home is progressing nicely.
