Rheumatology Services & Treatments

Diagnosing and managing autoimmune diseases requires taking a careful history and physical exam and listening to our patients. In addition to this, at Piedmont Physicians Rheumatology, we use the latest and most up-to-date treatment strategies to care for our patients and keep abreast of the changing treatment options becoming available to patients with autoimmune diseases by engaging in clinical trials. Our infusion center at Piedmont West provides a pleasant and comforting environment for patients who require infusion therapy. We perform joint injections and aspiration in the office. We also use other tools such as diagnostic imaging, including musculoskeletal ultrasound in the office, X-ray and MRI to help diagnose and treat patients. Since medication may not always be the best option, we also try to incorporate the use of physical therapy and occupational therapy as needed when appropriate. We strive to offer a comprehensive, one-stop rheumatology service for every patient, every time.
