Volunteer at Piedmont Augusta
Volunteer Services
Your time is a valuable resource with the incredible potential to help others. How would you like to make a personal investment of your time in a place that makes a difference in our community? Hundreds of men and women of all ages have found fulfilling volunteer positions and have provided much-needed services at Piedmont Augusta since 1949. Piedmont is blessed with an amazing group of volunteers. Piedmont Augusta Volunteer Services has contributed more than $10 million to the hospital. Annually, volunteers donate more than 37,000 hours of service in over 30 hospital departments and donate to hospital programs, equipment and initiatives. Whether assisting departments that support patient care or being involved in fundraising efforts, Piedmont Augusta volunteers impact our community. Their efforts are priceless.
Volunteer Board
Piedmont Augusta certainly could not offer the same level of service to patients and their families without the support in hours and dollars of our Volunteer Board.
College Volunteers
College Volunteers enrolled in a local university or college are welcome to apply. Participation in the program requires a program fee of $55. This fee covers the cost of your volunteer t-shirt and your background check.
Junior Volunteers
Teens aged 14-18 may participate in our Junior Volunteer program. Since the annual program begins in early summer, interviews are held in March, with an orientation in early June. Junior volunteers are expected to serve at least one day (eight hours) a week during the summer. Those interested can contact the Volunteer Services Office at 706-774-2208.
